About Pastor Rusty Ward

With over 32 years of dedicated ministry, Reverend Rusty Ward has profoundly impacted countless lives for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. His journey began in 1993 as a Royal Ranger leader, where his leadership extended to significant roles within the Appalachian Ministry Network Royal Rangers, including serving as Deputy District Commander.

Feeling a clear call to pastoral ministry, Pastor Rusty served as both an interim and lead pastor from 1999 to 2018. Beyond the pulpit, he demonstrated his commitment to the broader church community by serving as Secretary and Assistant Section Presbyter for the Two Virginia Section, faithfully visiting and supporting churches for four years.

An ordained minister with the General Council of the Assemblies of God, Rev. Ward completed his studies at Global University in October 2003. From 2003 to 2018, he led Bethel Assembly of God as its Lead Pastor, guiding the congregation on an incredible journey of faith and growth.

In 2020, following his departure from Bethel, Pastor Rusty's fervent desire to continue ministering and serving God's people remained strong. Concurrently, he serves as a One-to-One Connector with Network-211, responding to hundreds of emails from individuals worldwide. Leveraging modern technology, Network-211 effectively communicates the 1st-century Gospel in a 21st-century world, helping people discover and deepen their walk with God.
